storage

Here is one of the finished storage units for the new office set up, it should hold a lot.  I messed up and built them too tall, I wanted it to sit just under the picture molding.

drill press

Filed under: wood shop — howarth frank @ 7:54 pm

To day was a good hunting day, I went in for the kill.  I was sitting at the computer ‘gambling’ on Craig’s List and a nice powermatic drill press popped up, I called immediately and it was still available.  I rushed over and there it was, just the drill I had been looking for.  It tuned out 4 other people had called about it while I was driving over.  I was first and got a great drill for a ridiculously low price. ($400)  it almost felt better wining than getting a new piece of equipment.

storage

I have started work on two storage units for our home office.  With the baby taking over bonnie’s old office, we are moving her computer and office into my office, we need more storage space.  Each unit will be shelves on the top and three drawer on the bottom.

co-sleeper

Filed under: projects — howarth frank @ 10:09 pm

Along with the changing table I am making a co-sleeper for our bed.  I would like it to be open on the bed side and flush with our mattress.

changing table

Filed under: projects — howarth frank @ 3:09 pm

We are having a baby in September; I have started building baby furniture.  This is the start of the changing table. It will have two drawers at the top. Below will be six cubbies.  The hope is as the baby grows up they can use it for toy storage.  It is made from birch plywood with maple trim.
